Once again, it is time to celebrate our great country which means it's also time to get the grills ready, break out the red, white and blue, and get prepared to enjoy the fireworks! July 4th is right around the corner. There are lots of ways to celebrate in Gwinnett County; there are even a few events going on before the fourth.
Here is a list of cities in Gwinnett County that will be lighting up the sky this Fourth of July. Here is a list of events going on in Lilburn, Buford, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Norcross, Snellville, Stone Mountain, Loganville and Sugar Hill.
The city of Lawrenceville presents its Prelude to the 4th and Gwinnett Bicentennial Celebration Tuesday, July 3rd on the Lawrenceville Lawn, located at 210 Luckie St.
The City of Lawrenceville will host a Prelude to the 4th honoring America's Day of Independence as well as Gwinnett's Bicentennial Celebration. There will be food trucks, beer and wine from McCray's Tavern, music from DJ SUSPENSE and Maggie Baugh opening for The Swingin' Medallions, and an awesome fireworks display at dusk.

The Mall of Georgia will be holding it's 16th Annual Star Spangled Fourth event starting at 3 p.m on Wednesday, July 4th.
Mall of Georgia's Star Spangled Fourth offers live music, children's rides and inflatables, food and beverage concessions and the largest fireworks display in Gwinnett County.
The event will begin at approximately 3 pm in the parking lot in front of Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes and Noble.
Free concerts begin at 5 pm in the Village Amphitheatre:
- 5-7 p.m. – The Throwback Experience
- 7:30-9:30 p.m. – Mike Veal Band
- 9:30 p.m. - Singing of the National Anthem
- 9:35 p.m. – Gwinnett County's grandest fireworks display
Movie Post-fireworks – "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (rated PG-13)
Kids Zone provided by Amusement Masters:
- Bouncehouses/Inflatable Amusements will be open from 3 pm until 10 pm. Cash and credit payment available.
- Wristbands are $20 and include one ticket to use on the Rock Wall

Sparks in the Park at Sugar Hill will take place on Tuesday, July 3rd beginning at 6 pm at E. E. Robinson Park located at 1196 Level Creek Rd. in Sugar Hill and should be a fun-filled night for the entire family. Celebrate and enjoy a free night of live music, inflatables, and fireworks after dark. Concessions and food will be available.

The city of Duluth will hold it's annual Duluth Celebrates America event beginning at 5:30 pm and ending at 10 pm on July 3rd on Duluth Town Green. There will be live music, food trucks, children’s activities and giveaways and a spectacular fireworks display around 9:45 pm over City Hall.
Musical performances by A-Town-A-List & 116th Army Band
You can bring your own food and beverages (including alcohol). Pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash.
Both Main Street and West Lawrenceville will be closed to through traffic plus all City Hall parking will be blocked off for the Fireworks. Dedicated handicap parking will be the top parking lot on Hill Street. Please visit the Downtown Duluth page to see more available free parking.

Star Spangled Snellville event will take place at the Towne Green on July 4th from 4 to 10 pm and features one of the best firework shows in the Southeast.
The event will begin at 4 pm with Kriss Johnson singing the National Anthem and will include the tastes and smells of some of your favorite festival foods along with a large playground of inflatables, the BIG KAHUNA water slide, train rides and bungee jump. Ride as often as you like with an all-day armband for only $10
The CONTAGIOUS BAND takes the stage at 5 pm and will be followed by RHYTHM NATION at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a watermelon eating contest at 4:30 and another one at 7:10 so come ready to eat!
The fireworks display will begin when the sky becomes dark, approximately 9:30 p.m.

Lilburn's Sparkle in the Park will take place from 5 to approximately 10 pm, Wednesday, July 4th at the city park, located at 76 Main St. in Lilburn.
Lilburn's Sparkle in the Park is an annual event held in Lilburn City Park and includes a variety of food, children's activities, live entertainment, and of course, fireworks! Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed, while outside alcohol and outside fireworks are prohibited. Guests are recommended to leave their pets at home.
Children's Activities will include bounce houses, 5 in 1 combo, obstacle course, slide, giant inflatable soccer game, and more! Tickets can be purchased from Fresh Air Party Rental at the event for $1.00 per ticket, $20.00 for 25 tickets, or wristbands for $25.00 unlimited use.
Event Schedule (subject to change):
- 5:30 p.m. Event begins. Balloon artists and family photos will be available at no cost, while supplies last, until 9:30 p.m. Food trucks/vendors will begin selling.
- 7:30 p.m. The GLOW band takes the stage
- 9:30 p.m. Fireworks begin. The show lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Those parked near Lilburn City Park will be routed down Poplar Street to Killian Hill Road or down Camp Creek Road to Arcado Road. **Please note that if you park near Lilburn City Park or on Main Street, you may not be able to leave the area for at least 30 minutes following the event.

The city of Norcross presents Red, White, and BOOM in the historic downtown area from 5 to 10 pm on Tuesday, July 3rd.
The City of Norcross is throwing a pre-Fourth of July block party, and you're invited! Make your way to the heart of historic downtown Norcross on July 3 for food, fun, and fireworks during the 2018 edition of Red White and BOOM!
Location: All of downtown Norcross; Kidzone will be on downtown streets, Mother's Finest will be performing in Lillian Webb Park, artists/vendors will be stationed downtown, and food trucks can be found at Lillian Webb Park.

The Gwinnett Braves will have a July 4th fireworks show after their game against the Norfolk Tides. The game begins at 7:05 pm with the fireworks show taking place immediately after the game.
Coolray Field is located at 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville.
